This Marina i110/i160 Replacement Power Cartridge is made specifically to fit the Marina i110 and i160 internal filters.

This power cartridge consists of a polyester foam on the outside. This foam traps fine particles and debris while inside the chamber, there is carbon that removes pollutants and any odours that may arise. The use of carbon is essential in hard water areas and it will get used up faster in hard water areas than in soft water areas. When the carbon is 'spent' it may release trapped toxins back into the water so please remember to change the cartridge regularly.

The cartridge is simple to replace as it simply slips into the filter.

It is recommended that you change the filter every 4 weeks. Although for the i160 model it is recommended that you do not change both filters at the same time to ensure that there is some beneficial bacteria in your tank.
