InformationKITTEN CARE GUIDE
Bringing any new pet into your home is an exciting event, and the addition of a kitten to your home is likely to be an incredibly fun and interesting experience, however there are a few things to consider before you make the decision to adopt a kitten!
InformationCAT REPRODUCTION
Breeding a cat should not be undertaken without a thorough understanding of what is involved. Many people get into cat breeding thinking it would be fun to have a litter of kittens to play with, that it will be nice for their children to experience the miracle of life, or that their cat should have a litter before being neutered.
InformationFLEAS & TICKS
Prevent infestations in your home by protecting your pets from fleas, lice, mites and other biting insects! Has an infestation already taken hold? Read our guide for getting rid of pesky insects as quickly as possible.
InformationWORMS
Worm infestations are common, yet can cause extremely serious conditions to dogs and their owners. Find out more about how you can prevent infestations from taking hold inside your cat!
InformationNUTRITION
Cats are ‘obligate carnivores’, meaning they must have meat in their diet. Only meat provides taurine (essential for normal vision and a healthy heart), important polyunsaturates such as the fatty acid arachidonic acid, as well as a specific form of vitamin A which they require.
InformationCOMPATIBILITY
There are 2 main factors that determine the compatibility of kittens and cats, these are age and gender. It is much easier to successfully introduce cats when they are young. Gender is also important, generally females will get along in groups and are more accepting of other females. Males are more unwilling to accept other males into the home, especially un-neutered males.
InformationINDOOR CATS
Cats can be successfully, happily and healthily kept as indoor only pets. They can enjoy mental and physical stimulation and fun, without being subjected to the risks that come with allowing your cat to free roam outdoors.
InformationHEALTH ISSUES
Cat Flu and Hairballs are two of the most common conditions to affect our pet cats.
