FAQs

How should I clean the filter sponge?

It is highly advisable to gently squeeze and rinse the filter sponge in a bucket of old aquarium water during your regular water changes. Do NOT clean the filter sponge under tap water, as the chlorine and chloramines will destroy the beneficial nitrifying bacteria essential for your tank's health. 

Can I use different types of filter media in this unit?

Yes, if desired, alternative filter medias such as carbon or specific contaminant removers can be used inside the filter casing in place of the standard sponge.

 Is this filter suitable for saltwater tanks?

Yes, this versatile filter is completely safe and suitable for use in marine aquariums, as well as tropical, coldwater, and reptile setups.
