The milk powder has been ultra filtrated to concentrate the proteins and a superior amino acid content ensures that dogs receive a perfectly balanced and complete feed. The protein molecules are preserved due to a slow drying process, and the milk contains all the vitamins and minerals required for healthy development.

Lactol is recommended for use with orphaned puppies, for supplementary feeding of puppies born into large litters, as a weaning aid, as a complementary feed for growing animals and convalescent or sick dogs, and as a nutritional supplement for pregnant dogs.

Directions: Add 30 grams of Lactol to every 105ml of warm, not boiling, water and stir until completely dissolved. Allow to cool to blood temperature (38°C) before feeding. Cold Lactol can be fed to older animals if preferred. Prepared feed can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and reheated to blood temperature before feeding to young animals. Do not reheat Lactol more than once, and ensure that good hygiene practices are observed, such as sterilising bottles between feeds. 

Feeding on demand works best for most orphaned puppies and for supplementing the diets of puppies, but Lactol provides a rough guide for the volume of milk an animal of the size, age and breed you are feeding should require. It is important to weigh young puppies on a daily basis to observe growth rates.
