Festive Natural Treats for Small Animals

The Rosewood Naturals Dandelion 'n' Carrot Christmas Trees are designed to make seasonal treat time more interesting.

Each crunchy Christmas tree combines a selection of plant-based ingredients, including oats, pea flakes, dandelion and vegetables, with a colourful carrot topping.

The textured surface and distinctive tree shape make these treats particularly appealing for small pets that enjoy investigating and nibbling different foods.

They can be offered by hand, placed in your pet's enclosure or incorporated into suitable foraging activities to encourage natural exploratory behaviour.

A Christmas Treat for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs & Other Small Pets

These festive treats are suitable for a wide range of small animals, including:

• Rabbits
• Guinea pigs
• Hamsters
• Gerbils
• Rats
• Mice
• Chinchillas
• Degus

Different species have different nutritional requirements. Although Rosewood markets these treats for all the animals listed above, the oat, pea and carrot ingredients mean they should be offered sparingly, particularly to chinchillas and degus.

For rabbits and guinea pigs, treats should remain a small addition to a diet based primarily on appropriate feeding hay.

Are these treats suitable for hamsters?

Yes. Hamsters can enjoy small portions as an occasional treat. Adjust the amount to suit your hamster's size and dietary needs.

Can chinchillas and degus eat these Christmas treats?

Rosewood includes chinchillas and degus among the suitable species. However, both have specialist dietary requirements, and ingredients such as carrot, oats and peas may not be appropriate for frequent feeding. Seek advice from your exotic-pet vet if unsure.

These are complementary treats rather than a complete food. Offer occasionally in quantities appropriate to your pet's species, size and individual dietary needs.

Can I put these in my rabbit's Christmas stocking?

Yes! These festive treats make a lovely addition to a rabbit or small pet Christmas stocking. Always remove all packaging before offering them to your pet.

Feeding Advice & Storage

Offer as an occasional complementary treat alongside your pet's normal balanced diet.

For rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus, ensure appropriate feeding hay remains available at all times.
