Trixie Car Safety Grid Dog Guard
Trixie's Friends on Tour Car Safety Guard fits easily to the rear headrests of cars, ensuring dogs are kept securely in or out of the boot area.
The safe spacing mount doesn't take up space in the boot, and the aluminium braces are lightweight so the guard can be fitted and removed with ease.
The width and height have a large adjustable range, so will suit a large range of different cars.
The Highway Code states: "When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves, if you stop quickly. A seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard are ways of restraining animals in cars.”
Breaking the Highway Code doesn’t carry a direct penalty, but drivers could still be pulled over for driving without due care and attention. This can result in a maximum fine of £2,500 and nine penalty points - and if an unrestrained pet has caused an accident, insurers are unlikely to pay out.
Please ensure that the boot area of your car is not designed to act as a crush, crumple or impact absorption zone in the event of an accident, before transporting your pet in the boot. Many modern cars are designed to act in this way.
Size: Width 96cm-163cm, Height 34cm-48cm
